Product Details

The Resin Cable Jointing features compact dimensions, a visible joint area before casting and a high-quality, transparent, shock-proof plastic housing. It has a large filling hole for easy casting and is resistant to chemical agents and alkaline earth elements. The joint is also UV-stable and offers longitudinal and lateral waterproofing. The high electrical insulation value, high mechanical strength and ready-to-use characteristics of the joint ensure quick and easy assembly, ultimately saving time and reducing costs.

The Resin Cable Jointing is designed for connecting polymeric cables or conductors insulated with materials such as PVC, PE, XLPE, and EPR (e.g., N(A)YY, NYM, TT). It is universally suitable for use with both compression and screw connectors on copper and aluminum conductors. Ideal for underground and underwater applications, this joint features a resin casting waterproof cable junction box with compact dimensions and a visible splice area before casting.

Installation Instructions:
1、Preparation:
Remove steps from the end of the mold; the opening should be slightly larger than the cable diameter (approx. 1 - 2 mm).
Insert cable sheath: φ <20mm: a=2 x c; φ >20mm: a=40 mm.
Install connectors.
Roughen, degrease, and clean the cable sheaths.

2、Splice Centering:
Ensure a minimum distance of 5 mm between connectors and conductors.

3、Mold Assembly:
Snap mold halves together.
Seal mold ends with PVC tape.

4、Resin Casting:
Mix cast resin and fill up to 3 mm from the upper edge of the filler opening.
Insert cover.
Energize cables up to 1 kV immediately after casting.

Additional Instructions for Different Cable Types:
1、Core Insulation (PE, VPE, EPR, etc.):
Roughen, degrease, and clean cable insulation.

2、PILC Cables:
With armoring and jute: Insert 20 mm of armoring into the mold (do not insert jute).
With synthetic sheath: Roughen, degrease, and clean the cable sheath; insert 20 mm into the mold.
For lead sheath: Roughen, degrease, and clean thoroughly before locking mold halves.
Remove insulating material completely from conductor and belt insulation.
For fluid insulating material: Cover filler and paper insulation with Oilstop/adhesive agent.

The Resin Cable Jointing ensures durable, reliable connections in various environments, making it an essential component for modern electrical installations.
